Salesperson Pre Licensing Education Requirements

1. Be 18 years old
2. Provide proof that applicant is high school graduate or holder of certificate of equivalency.
3. Successfully complete required 75- hour Salesperson Pre License Course

4. Pass background check through Georgia Crime Information Center and provide copy of criminal history when taking exam through testing center.

   1. Once exam is passed, applicant will receive certificate of completion to be able to schedule exam
6. Successfully pass State and National Exam
7. Must apply for licensure within 12 months of taking exam, or will have to retake examination.

Broker Pre Licensing Education Requirements

1. Be 21 years old
2. Provide proof that applicant is high school graduate or holder of certificate of equivalency.
3. Must have been actively licensed in Georgia as a Salesperson or Associate Broker for a minimum of 3 of the previous 5 years before application.
4. Successfully complete the required 60-Hour Broker’s Pre License Course

5. Pass background check through Georgia Crime Information Center and provide copy of criminal history when taking exam through testing center.
6. Successfully pass State and National Exam
7. Must apply for licensure within 12 months of taking exam, or will have to retake examination.

Salesperson Post Licensing Education Requirements

1. Licensees will have to complete an additional 25 hours of education during renewal period as well.
2. Salespersons must have completed this course:
   1. No earlier than one year after the date of issuance of an original salesperson's license.
   2. 18 months after the date of issuance if salesperson qualified for the 6 month extension.

Salesperson & Broker Continuing Education Requirements

1. Renewal periods are every four years from the date of issuance of initial license
2. Education can be completed at any time during renewal period.
3. Must complete 36 hours of education, to include 3 hour Core Course
4. If license number is less than 100,000 you are not required to complete education for renewal.
5. Renewals can be done online through the Online Services
