Salesperson Pre Licensing Education Requirements

1. Be 18 years or older
2. Submit to background check and fingerprinting
3. Complete 90 hours of education to include the following courses:
1. Course I (30 hours)
2. Course II (30 hours)
3. Course III (30 hours)
4. Must obtain certificates of completion after proctored exams in each course. Can be done by a 3rd party ( someone who has no interest in your passing or failing the exam) or you may schedule your final exam with our qualified virtual proctors
4. Course I must be completed and the proctored exam taken before scheduling the State and National Exam
5. Course II & III can be completed before or after exams, but must be completed before applying for license.
6. Within 12 months of passing the exam, must apply for license
7. Work for licensed broker

Broker Pre Licensing Education Requirements

1. Have a minimum of 3 years experience as an actively licensed salesperson within the previous 5 year period prior to submitting an application.
2. Successfully complete 30 hours Broker Course
3. Pass Broker's Examination
4. Within 12 months of completing the course apply for a Broker's license and pay the applicable fee.

Salesperson Continuing Education Requirements

1. Each licensee must complete 30 hours by June 30th of the renewal year. Renewal periods are two years long.
1. MN advises applicants complete education by June 15th for a timely reporting of education
2. Applicants must complete the following required topics within the renewal period:
1. 1 hour of training to specify in Agency Representation and disclosure
2. 1 hour of training in state and federal fair housing laws, regulations and rules, other antidiscrimination laws
1. ***This does not apply to Commercial Salesperson's***
3. Must obtain 3.75 or 7.5 hours of module training every license year per designated course by the state

Broker Continuing Education Requirements

2. The Primary Broker must certify through the on-line renewal process that the licensee has completed hours.
3. Applicants must complete the following required topics within the renewal period:

2. 1 hour of training in state and federal fair housing laws, regulations and rules, other antidiscrimination laws
1. ***This does not apply to Commercial Salesperson's***
3. Must obtain 3.75 or 7.5 hours of module training every license year per designated course by the state
